Until you choose, this site loads nothing that measures you. If you accept, we use Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta pixel to see how the site is used and which of our posts and adverts bring people here. If you decline, none of them load at all and the site works exactly the same.
The only personal data we ever hold ourselves is an email address, and only if you type it into our form or write to us. We do not sell, rent, trade or share it with anyone.

The legal basis is your consent, given through the banner. Nothing in this section runs before you give it, and you can withdraw it at any time with the button above, which puts the choice back in front of you.
If you accept, these are set:
_ga and _ga_XL7Y7DT8BM, up to two years, which tell one browser from another so we can count visits and see which pages are read. Aggregated statistics, not profiling._gcl_au, up to three months, which tells us whether someone who saw one of our adverts later came to the site._fbp, up to three months. We use it to measure our Facebook and Instagram campaigns and, plainly, to show our adverts to people who have visited this site and to people who resemble them. That is what a pixel is for and we would rather write it down than leave you to guess.Google and Meta process some of this data outside the European Union, in the United States. Both declare adherence to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and apply the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. If that arrangement matters to you, decline the banner: everything on this site remains readable.
Independently of your choice, our host Netlify serves a small performance script from our own domain which records how quickly pages load. It measures the page, not the person, and we use it only to keep the site fast.
The form on this site asks for one thing: your email address. We use it to send you an occasional note, once a month or less, when a house in the old town comes up and when we update our figures on the international residents of the Alto Salento. That is the whole purpose. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form and can withdraw at any moment.
Submissions are received by Netlify, the company that hosts this site (Netlify Inc., United States), acting as our processor under its own data protection terms, and are then held in our mailbox and in our subscriber list. We keep your address until you ask us to remove it, and we review the list once a year. To unsubscribe, reply to any message or write to the address above: we remove you the same day and we do not ask why.
Our host keeps standard access logs, which contain the IP address, the browser type and the page requested, for security and to keep the site running. That is ordinary technical processing and we do not use those logs to identify anyone.
Some pages link to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Those are ordinary links: nothing is loaded from them until you click, and from that moment their own privacy policies apply, not ours.
Under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw your consent. Write to mario@manduriashire.it and we answer within thirty days, usually the same week. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
In breve. Finché non scegli, questo sito non carica nulla che ti misuri. Se accetti, usiamo Google Analytics, Google Ads e il pixel di Meta per capire come viene usato il sito e quali dei nostri post e annunci portano qui le persone. Se rifiuti, non ne viene caricato nessuno e il sito funziona esattamente uguale. L’unico dato personale che teniamo noi è un indirizzo email, e solo se lo scrivi tu. Non lo vendiamo, non lo affittiamo e non lo cediamo a nessuno.

Misurazione e pubblicità, solo con il tuo consenso. La base giuridica è il consenso che dai tramite il banner, e puoi revocarlo quando vuoi con il pulsante qui sopra. Se accetti vengono installati: Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited), cookie _ga e _ga_XL7Y7DT8BM, fino a due anni, per contare le visite e vedere quali pagine vengono lette, in forma aggregata e non per profilazione; Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited), cookie _gcl_au, fino a tre mesi, per sapere se chi ha visto un nostro annuncio è poi arrivato sul sito; pixel di Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited), cookie _fbp, fino a tre mesi, che usiamo per misurare le campagne su Facebook e Instagram e, detto chiaramente, per mostrare i nostri annunci a chi ha visitato questo sito e a chi gli somiglia. Trasferimenti fuori dall’Unione Europea. Google e Meta trattano parte di questi dati negli Stati Uniti. Entrambe dichiarano l’adesione all’EU–US Data Privacy Framework e applicano le clausole contrattuali standard della Commissione Europea. Se la cosa non ti convince, rifiuta dal banner: tutto il sito resta leggibile.
Indipendentemente dalla tua scelta, il nostro host Netlify serve dal nostro stesso dominio un piccolo script che registra la velocità di caricamento delle pagine. Misura la pagina, non la persona, e lo usiamo solo per tenere il sito veloce.
Se ti iscrivi. Il modulo chiede solo l’indirizzo email. Lo usiamo per mandarti una nota ogni tanto, una volta al mese o meno, quando esce una casa nel centro storico e quando aggiorniamo i numeri sui residenti internazionali dell’Alto Salento. La base giuridica è il tuo consenso, che dai inviando il modulo e che puoi ritirare quando vuoi. I dati arrivano a Netlify (Netlify Inc., Stati Uniti), responsabile del trattamento secondo le proprie condizioni, e restano nella nostra casella e nella nostra lista. Li conserviamo finché non ci chiedi di cancellarli, e rivediamo la lista una volta l’anno. Per cancellarti basta rispondere a un messaggio o scrivere all’indirizzo qui sopra: ti togliamo in giornata e non chiediamo perché.
Log e link. Il nostro host conserva i normali log di accesso, che contengono indirizzo IP, tipo di browser e pagina richiesta, per sicurezza e per far funzionare il sito. I link a Facebook, Instagram e LinkedIn sono link normali: finché non clicchi non viene caricato nulla, e da quel momento valgono le loro informative.
I tuoi diritti. Ai sensi degli articoli da 15 a 22 del GDPR puoi chiedere accesso, rettifica, cancellazione, limitazione, portabilità, opposizione e revoca del consenso, scrivendo a mario@manduriashire.it. Rispondiamo entro trenta giorni, di solito in settimana. Se non sei soddisfatto puoi rivolgerti al Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
